We were already to go with our stand at the WBC Carnival day on 8th June 2019.
There were the posters, banners and leaflets printed:The Face painters were booked and paid for:The Treasure map printed and mounted:The coloured map pins numbered up: all plans in place.
And then we got the sad news on Friday morning that the Carnival had to be cancelled due to forecast high winds and heavy rain.
Disappointing indeed for all the many people that put a load of effort into making the day special. No blame on WBC. They acted correctly on the advice they received, but it must have been a heart wrenching decision to make. Hopefully there may be some compensation for stall holders like us who have irrecoverable costs.
The GOOD NEWS is that we are now able to run our “Find the Space Capsule Loot” on the treasure map, with the Bletchley Park membership prize, as a competition on this website. Find out more here.
