URBAN DESIGN FRAMEWORK/PROSPECTUS
- The West Bletchley Neighbourhood Plan and the Urban Design Framework for Central Bletchley (Including Sherwood Drive & Buckingham Road), were approved by MK Council in March 2019 and have been incorporated in Plan MK.
- MK Council officers have also produced a Central Bletchley Urban Design Prospectus for issue to potential developers expressing an interest to invest in this project.
- Unfortunately, due to a change of MK Council’s Cabinet Member for Planning in May, this project has now been delayed, ostensibly to enable public consultation to take place. As almost 4 months have now elapsed without any progress, BPARA has enlisted the support of West Bletchley Ward Councillors to put pressure on the Cabinet member, Councillor Gowans, (Bletchley East Ward Councillor) to move forward with this project. In the meantime, developers are submitting piecemeal and unsuitable applications for the Central Bletchley area which, unlike West Bletchley, has no Neighbourhood Plan.
