It has been 9 months since the last West Bletchley Community Forum. Unfortunately, as it stands Community Forums are still on hold due to the COVID restrictions across the UK. However, we do hold online forums – dates and times are advertised on TVP MK social media.
Incidents of note:
Following intelligence reports from residents a cannabis drugs production set up was located in Glamis House, Bletchley – 9 plants recovered, class A drugs recovered and 3 arrests made. This was a temporary Milton Keynes Council property so notice has been served to the tenant to leave.
Following various reports of Anti-social behaviour around the car park at RAFA CLUB, Tattenhoe Lane, Bletchley increased patrols have been made which has resulted in the following:
1. 2 arrests made for cannabis possession
2. 2 cannabis warnings issued for possession of cannabis.
3. 1 arrest of a 17 year old male in possession of bladed article.
4. A vehicle was located with 3 adult males – arrests were made for possession with intent to supply as a large quantity of class A drugs were located, 1 of the males was also arrested on suspicion of Burglary as he was wanted for a historic offence.
Also:
Reports of suspicions behaviour at a flat in Norfolk House a cannabis factory was located x2 arrests made, large quantity of cash and cannabis recovered.
A drugs warrant was conducted at a property on Hughes Croft x3 arrests made after a large quantity of class a drugs was located. West Bletchley neighbourhood officers took part in a week intense operation to tackle children being exploited for county drugs lines across Milton Keynes. 12 stop and searches conducted class A & B drugs located and seized.
We have provided detailed evidence to MKC to support the extension of the current PSPO (public space protection notice) to be extended (former no drinking zones) in various areas of West Bletchley. This was agreed for 12 months which we welcome.
We engaged with the male parked up in a stationary vehicle on Hunstanton Way, Bletchley. As the officer engaged with the male he made off in his vehicle and failed to stop. The vehicle was involved in a pursuit which was safety concluded resulting in a male from London being arrested and charged for:
1. Dangerous driving,
2. Fail to stop for police
3. Possession with intent to supply drugs
4. Driving whilst disqualified
5. Driving with no insurance
He was remanded in custody and due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates court.
West Bletchley officers assist a proactive operation focusing on reducing serious youth violence and knife crime across Milton Keynes but we focused on some are West Bletchley. Across the weekend 29 people were stopped and searched, 3 people were arrested for serious offences including GBH, drug driving and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
The South Neighbourhood policing team are working hard to tackle anti-social behaviour and drug related offences in West Bletchley and we encourage residents to report suspicions, drug related or ASB incidents to the police so they can be dealt with robustly. We are working hard to make Milton Keynes a difficult and uncomfortable town for drug dealers to operate from.
