On Tuesday, 28 June, the Community Sensory Garden on Church Green was judged for Britain in Bloom under the category ‘Its your neighbourhood’. Brenda Dean, leader of this project, and helpers including members of West Bletchley Shed and Bletchley Lions, plus local residents, spend many hours working in this garden, and it looked really lovely in the sunshine last Tuesday.
A number of local residents and BPARA went along, refreshments were served and the judges appeared to be impressed by the garden. Brenda also showed the judges the former rose bed on Church Green that has been transformed into a Memorial Garden, with the BPARA magnolia tree planted to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in pride of place.
