Today, the BPARA Chair, together with the MKCC Engineer in charge of the Redways Project, visited the Blue Lagoon to view Sections 3 and 4, where work is nearing completion. Once finished, pedestrians and cyclists will have an excellent route through the Blue Lagoon area between Water Eaton Road and Drayton Road – perfect for those with accessibility needs and families with pushchairs.
The carpark at the Drayton Road end has been extended – I understand that there will be an official re-opening once the work is completed. For information, Section 1 has been completed and runs from the Lakes Estate to the Blue Lagoon, and Section 2 is from Newton Leys to the Blue Lagoon where work will continue into 2024.
