Bletchley Park Holdings (BPH – a group of investors with no connection to Bletchley Park) own G Block and the Wartime Canteen in Wilton Avenue. They have secured both sites with hoarding, installed security cameras, and arrange for essential maintenance to be carried out from time to time. Emma James, of Places Made, works on their behalf, and she has monthly calls with BPARA and West Bletchley Council. Last month, she advised that BPH will be preparing a Pre-Application case for development of G Block for discussion with MKCC Planning Department this Summer – BPH’s plans might also involve the Old Canteen.
Emma is gathering views of those who live in, or are connected to the area close to both sites, and was in the Bletchley Park area last week chatting to residents who live close to G Block. On Tuesday, 9 April, she will be returning to talk with Wilton Avenue residents, In the evening, she will be hosting an open event in the meeting room at the Institute of Technology from 5pm – 7.30pm, when she will be joined by some members of the design team who are currently looking at how the two sites could work. She is inviting the wider public to come that session and talk to them at about their thoughts on the sites and possible uses.
