MKCC would like to do more to improve road safety by taking action against drivers who commit certain moving traffic offences. To do this MKCC will need to introduce a new Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for the sites where they want to take action. This would give them the legal powers to issue a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) to drivers who contravene certain types of parking and traffic offences at specified locations by using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras.
MKCC has identified sites where they would like to start to implement these proposals and would like to hear your views on issues like obstructive parking outside schools and on footways. To do this, please complete the MKCC survey by visiting https://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/consultations/parking-and-moving-traffic-enforcement-consultation
Please ensure that you mention the names of roads in Bletchley & Fenny Stratford where you feel action should be taken in the survey. The survey results will help MKCC to understand public opinion on these issues and to plan future actions.
The closing date is 28th June.
