RHS Judges received a warm welcome when they visited the Sensory Gardens at The Church Green adjacent to St. Mary’s Church, to assess the area for the “RHS – It’s Your Neighbourhood Award, 2024”
The award is presented to volunteer groups that transform and maintain green spaces in their local area. “The Sensory Gardens Community Group continue to impress the assessors with their dedication to maintaining the gardens to such a high standard,” the report read. Receiving the highest level of recognition in this category – Level 5, Outstanding, the group were particularly praised for their level of community involvement, the new developments in the Natural Garden and the immaculate presentation throughout.
