At the Town Deal Board meeting on September 18, we heard that the work on Queensway is planned to start in November. To facilitate the implementation of the one-way system, Queensway is being divided into 4 sections, with work starting at Elizabeth Square and finishing at the Albert Street end. The public realm improvements also include Chandos Place with work being carried out to stop the pavement parking.
At the Board meeting, we also heard that East West Rail are working on plans to improve the existing entrance to the rail station – we will share details once these are finalised.
