The consultation on the Development Brief produced by MK Council’s Urban Design and Landscape Architecture Team and Milton Keynes Development Partnership who own the land closed on 7 October and BPARA made a submission. Police & Fire Stations site – comments
As stated in the submission “The West Bletchley Council (WBC) Neighbourhood Plan clearly states development in the Station Quarter Area should be a “balanced mix of uses that can include residential, high-quality workspaces, hotel, conference centre/facilities, café/restaurant/local retail uses, visitor interpretation/facilities and public spaces…. My overall impression is that it has been produced with the intention of marketing the site for residential purposes only. This needs to be addressed in the revised Brief.”
If the proposal for Sherwood Drive to be designated Zone 2 under the revised Parking Standard is adopted, then the parking provision for any new development in this area would be impacted – see BPARA’s submission in relation to the draft Parking Standard.
