Have your say and help decide the future of Bletchley’s Brunel Centre and the former Sainsbury’s site.
MKCC has prepared a Draft Development Brief for the Brunel Centre, Bletchley, which will inform the future use and design for the site. The site includes the Brunel Centre, the former Sainsbury’s store, car park, Wilko and Stanier Square. MKCC’s independent property arm, Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) and MKCC, purchased the site earlier this year to form part of the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Deal project.
The Draft Development Brief document sets out design principles for the site’s redevelopment and potential uses that would help regenerate Bletchley town centre. MKCC would like local people to take this opportunity to share their thoughts on the proposed brief. Details of the consultation and a copy of the draft brief can be found at: Brunel Centre Development Brief 310823
This consultation runs for six weeks, beginning Thursday 12 October 2023. If you have any comments on the Draft Development Brief, these must be received by 5pm on Thursday 23 November 2023. Any feedback should be sent to:urban.design@milton-keynes.gov.uk or in writing to the Urban Design Team, Milton Keynes City Council, Civic, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes MK9 3EJ.
At this stage, BPARA is not aware of any public meetings for residents although it understands that West Bletchley and Bletchley & Fenny Stratford Town Councils will provide information to their respective residents. As the Draft Brief is 48 pages long, BPARA has produced a summary of the main points which you may find useful. BPARA & Brunel Brief Summary v2.
BPARA also has access to slides presented to West Bletchley Council on 23 October Brunel Centre Development Brief 231023.
BPARA will be responding in full to the consultation.
