MK Council has now produced the draft SPD for Central Bletchley. As recently advised to BPARA members for whom we have an email address, a formal public consultation runs until 31 January, giving you a chance to share thoughts on what’s proposed and how to make the most of the once-in-a-generation opportunities expected from East-West Rail in Central Bletchley.

You may find SPD useful.
Note – The SPD refers to the potential development of the former Cricket Pavilion site on the corner of Buckingham Road and Sherwood Drive. BPARA has been campaigning for this site to be acquired by the Town Deal Board for conversion to a public/green area with a memorial to the most famous of the Codebreakers, Alan Turing. Although BPARA is non-political, we are pleased that Cllr Alan Rankine, representing Bletchley Park Ward on MK Council, took forward the idea “for this site to be acquired as part of a re-vamp of the current entrance to Bletchley Station. This motion was approved at the Full MK Council Meeting on 20 October 2021.
BPARA has submitted a response on two aspects of the SPD as part of the consultation process as per CB UDF SPD Consultation Response form Opportunity Areas CB UDF SPD Consultation Response form Transport Parking
