Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC) has extended the Draft Development Brief consultation deadline to 31 December 2023 – have your say and help decide the future of the site that includes the Brunel Centre, the former Sainsbury’s, Wilko, and Stanier Square. The site is owned by MKCC/Milton Keynes Development Partnership (part of MKCC).
BPARA and other bodies have lobbied MKCC for better communication in relation to issues that impact our area and welcomes the extension to the original deadline. In addition, MKCC is holding a public drop-in event on 18 December at Duncombe Street Community House, Duncombe St, Bletchley, Milton Keynes MK2 2LY, 18:00 to 20:00.
As the Brief is 48 pages long, BPARA produced a 2-page summary BPARA & Brunel Brief Summary v2 and has also made a submission BPARA & Brunel Brief Response. Details of the consultation and a copy of the draft brief can be found at: Current Urban Design consultations | Milton Keynes City Council (milton-keynes.gov.uk).
Any feedback should be sent to:urban.design@milton-keynes.gov.uk or in writing to the Urban Design Team, Milton Keynes City Council, Civic, 1 Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes MK9 3EJ. All comments must be sent by 5pm on 31 December 2023.
